Jessie Quantrille

Jessie Quantrille (STM Class of 2012), daughter of Dawn and Brian Quantrille (Mr. Q), is an enthusiastic and focused dancer who has been teaching in Louisiana since she was 18 years old. She has danced since the age of 3, started competing at 5, and finished her dance training at Mainstreet Dance as a member of their pre-professional company in Hammond, Louisiana. Jessie is classically trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and various styles of contemporary dance. She has received numerous dance scholarships to attend intensives/programs in New York and California and has trained under master teachers at the top of the dance industry. In the summer of 2014, Jessie took part in a Mandy Moore professional video shoot to the music of Sam Smith at the first annual Dancerpalooza. She was awarded regionally as an Senior Outstanding Dancer for the New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA) and competed in the summer of 2015 amongst the top dancers in the country at their national finale in NewYork City. More recently, Jessie has been awarded for her choreography in the 2016-2020 competition seasons, and became a co-founder of the "Heat Wave Dance Workshop" which wrapped its third season in the summer of 2019. After moving to Lafayette, Jessie became involved with a modern dance and collaboration based company, “space Lafayette,” directed by Kelsey Billiot, and was a featured dancer in their winter show “current-ly,” “It’s About Women,” and will be dancing in their upcoming show premiering in April 2020. She also participated in the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's 2019 Fall Dance Concert, "State of La Danse," in a piece by Kelsey Billiot.  She will also be featured in two student-choreographed numbers this Spring in "Evening of Dance."  Jessie currently teaches at Dance Graphics Inc. in Carencro, LA, and loves working with her company students on a weekly basis. She is so excited to finally work with the Eagle Beat and is so proud of her dancers, Tommy and Mignon, for all the hard work and dedication they have put into the process of creating their number.
